6 mm swaging dies

Hi guys

I intend to order a swaging die( if I find a die maker) for 6 mm, for use in Fclass competitions, from 300 to 1000 yards.
What measures should I observe to order a die that meets these requirements?
Boat tail length and angle, shank diameter, pressure ring, ogive number, meplat dimension.(I don't know if these terms are correct, if wrong, correct me)
The intention is to produce projectiles between 90 and 115 grains, of the BT type.
I have observed that the Berger 6 mm 108 grain bullets are very easy to tune with, while the VLD type is more difficult.
I also tested some 108 grain BIB bullets (old stylus, short BT) and got excellent results, getting the first clean at 600 yards

Anyone who can pass on their opinions, ideas and recommendations, I will be very grateful.

Tks

Get in touch with Bart and Randy. I'm sure they would share their knowledge.

Randy already gave me valuable tips on how to improve the .30 bullets produced in Ulrich dies.
Boyd and Ulrich too are also helping me a lot.
But it seems to me that the biggest difficulty is actually finding a die maker, as Liljoe commented below.

Liseo, go for either a [tangent] 10-11 caliber nose, or, a so-called hybrid - a combination of tangent and secant. When Berger introduced their Hybrid 6mm, it was/is, very nearly a clone of my Niemi [die] 11 Cal. tangent ogive nose. The 11 caliber nose radius was the result of comparing mass vs. form, to maximize BC, for the 0.050" me'plat/K-O pin diameter and using the 1.150" long jacket: a higher/longer nose radius reduced the mass (internal volume), diminishing the BC slightly - this was the best balance point between form and mass.

Don't, "go over-board" on the BT length - keep it <0.20" long, and 7-9 degrees. Also, if the die maker will do so, get a <0.050" diameter knock-out pin: every 0.010" [reduction] of me'plat Dia. will increase BC as much as will a BT. Ya just have to be able to eject the pointed bullets without wrecking the K-O pin!;)

The biggest revelation in my attempts to make high(er) BC 6mm bullets proved the math: a BT length of the caliber, factored by .308, will produce 97-98% of the BC gain which a BT will provide . . . that said, many years ago now, to address bullet failures - largely caused by excessive heating/molten cores - I went to a longer BT, not for the added BC, but rather to reduce/eliminate the failures, by reducing bearing surface.o_O
The directly proportional surface reduction proved to be a good thing.;)

Best of luck obtaining your desired die-set. RG

Someone nominated Jeff Peinhart as a die maker option.

Who could inform email to try to keep in touch?

Would Whidden be able to help you with dies ?
These are carbide bullet making dies, not a case resizing dies. Different animal.
Common resizing dies are a couple hundred dollars maybe. Bullet dies are in the $2000+ range. I have heard they are now over $3000 .

Do you know have David Detsch is traveling theses days, as l heard rumours that he wasn’t in good health? And not making dies?
As, l have been emailing quite a few times recently and no response, as l need to get some BT point up punches refurbish, but try to find out if he’s okay.
Living 12,500 miles away in Australia makes it difficult
Thank you for your assistance
