Just an FYI for you guys that shoot the 39 SBK's. I just received 2000 bullets yesterday direct from Sierra. Was waiting about 2 years if memory serves me correct. Hopefully they will hit the shelves soon and just wanted to give you guys a heads up to be looking in case you were like me and out of bullets.

I usually over buy on components. Also a Sierra fan, have shot literally a ton of two of them over the years as they are local some what to me, several friends worked there over the years.

I ran out quite a while back and went to Vmax’s, the accuracy difference in the two for prairie dog sized critters just is not enough for me to pay a premium and then deal with availability issues. Yet, I bought some BK’s and shoved them to the back of the cabinet behind the V max’s, lol.

Looks like Sierra lost a little market share not being able or willing to keep up with demand.
I started shooting Bibs.

I built a vartarg during the 39smk chrisis and had no bullets for it so like many I had to go to custom bullets to get rolling. No more than I shoot these days what I have now may last me to death.

I continue to run the 39s in my 20ppc and I never technically ran out but I was down to what was loaded plus a few rolling around in a box.

Sorry to clutter this thread, but this is related.....
Sierra rang my phone very early today. I'm in CA and they are in MO. The phone was off so there was a poorly transcribed voice mail had something to do with 20 CAL 39 BK order... and had a call back number and an extension. It took many tries to get through.

Some time back when Sierra listed the 20 Cal 39 BK on their web site and took the orders, what they didn't tell us was they then planned to first ship to their distributors and then fill these orders? Not sure what the strategy was but think about the whole competing with their distributors issue and the concept that many of us have waited over 2 years for these to come around. Many didn't want to risk another indefinite wait and took the bait so we ordered on their web site... and waited... and waited... and waited....

Eventually, the usual places began to get them in stock and the prices were a little more reasonable. So I ordered more for insurance and back up position.

Whole point to sharing that is many credit card systems time out if the order isn't fulfilled withing 15 days. If you ordered from Sierra when they showed them on their web site and are wondering why you got nothing, that is probably why and you should get a phone call to re-state your credit card numbers.

If anyone from Sierra reads this, maybe you should re-think your business strategy?!? Hooking customers in before your distributors have stock leaves them and the customers in a bad position. Maybe think about delivering to your distributors first, and then showing them at those higher prices on your own web site? YMMV.

My phone rang at 6:15 am yesterday and I answered, caller ID said seirra bullets. Same conversation except I asked when the 32,s were coming out, he said next.

If any of you get a call from Sierra could you ask them if they ever plan to make/sell that 36gr Blitzking bullet they load in their 204 Ruger ammo as a component. I'd like to load some for my 20in 12tw Tikka compact 204 Ruger.
