Do You Replace Your Self Defense AMMO

I have read this several times years back by gun rag writers and a few times in forums. I always ask the author is they have a link to an example and I have yet to get a response.

So I'll ask again, do you have a reference of this?

No doubt there would be at least one case, but I haven't seen where it is widespread, and feel this claim can be easily beaten.
No, I don't have a specfic case refference toy validate my statement nor do I have the time or inclenation to provide where a specfic legal argument was used.
So what if you carry, factory tactical or critical defense ammo?
I'd say they are both good choices if they feed reliably in your carry pistol.

My point being that tactical and critical defense ammo could be argued in court as DEADLY ammo. Ergo the shooter intended to be deadly.
On the flip side a reasonably intelligent lawyer could argue economics of the hobby. Yes I carry reloads with XTP bullettes like the bad ammo but only because reloading saves money, finding 10 boxes at a yard sale at 20% the retail cost is not uncommon in my area.
