Which is why I suggested it. Carbide tipped saw blades are done the same. I get my braze material and black flux from Carbide Depot. For projects where it absolutely must stick I still have a stash of cadmium silver braze material. Ventilation and respirators required though

I would imagine most CNC grinding and tool sharpening businesses could do this brazing job for you. Just a thought.

As an update, I tried the single part bonding agent suggested to me by a tool and die maker and bonded a piece of mild steel to the carbide.

I couldn't pull it apart. A side impact failed the joint easily. -Al
