Need to change primers.

I have a FANTASTIC load for a 270wsm. Using Remington 9 1/2M primers. I have had two pierced primers in 40 rounds, I thought the first one was a fluke. I don't have a lot of experience with Remington primers, in fact I have always used 210M primers for all my Wsm cartridges.

Are Remington primers really soft? I have never had a pierced primer in this action.
I have never had a pierced primer using 210s even in hotter loads than this.

What are the chances of reproducing a load like this? Shot at 200 yards from a hunting bag.

Does anyone know which primer might replicate the specific brisance?603B5892-6BDD-4A0C-BD3A-16D871C3F9D0.jpeg
I not even sure if this old list was ever accurate anyway.

Any help is appreciated.

Just my opinion but I think this load is way too hot. You have primers flattening and cratering. The case with the pierced primer definitely looks to have serious ejector swipe. If you want a harder primer then I would use a #34

Just an observation. The Fed210 is Large Rifle. The Fed 210M is Large Rifel Match.
However on the Remington the 9 1/2 is Large rifle and then 9 1/2M is Large Rifel MAGNUM, not match.

I just checked my inventory, I have PTG magnum bolt faces but... savage must have changed their bolt assembly over the years. They'll fit my older models but not this model. 20230324_214613.jpg

The firing pin hole is smaller on the PTG

The bolt I'm dealing with has a much different firing pin spring. While de-cocking the different bolt styles I noticed a much lighter spring tention. Maybe it time for a new spring???? Wouldn't light firing pin spring cause pierced primers?

We run a 140 Accubond at just under 3000 fps, it shoots outside a dime 200 yards off a bi pod.
Fed mag primers
H4831 sc xxxgr
Hornday brass iirc
No primer issues, but not quite as fast either, no complaints from the deer. So far..anyway

Yeah, deer dont like 270wsm much, lol.
No worries, this chamber is throated long for the longer bullets. And I'm HBN plating bullets.

I think your issue is excessive headspace too much bump. Along with that a hot load! How much bump are you using or this new brass?

Check Hodgdon's Reloading data. Looks like, according to online info, you are over max recommended load with Retumbo.
