.470" or .480" bolt face for .308 Win?

Remington and most other internet sites I've found say the .308 Win uses a .470" bolt face.. However a lot of custom actions advertise .480" as for the .308 Win. What's the story?

Well considering 308 has a .472 rim diameter I’d prefer the .480 lol

.380" is the dia of the bolt face for all .308 Win family of cartridge case heads...cause the rim dia of the case can be .373"...but usually .367" to .3715" staying under the .373".

Opps! Thanks for pointing that out my mistake!...it should read .480" not .380" for a 308 Winchester...it IS .1" Off!...more like a .223 rd case head and way out on left field...for wrong. Happy you guys are paying attention...don't want to give out the wrong information.
I was loading and shooting a 380 acp 2 days ago and had loaded a thousand rds on the Dillon...it must have stuck in my brain...or just old age.

If you have a .480 you can shoot the 6.5x55 Swede case.
