Dating Unertl Scopes

Does anyone know how to date old Unertl scopes based off of serial numbers? The 1 1/2 and 2 inch target scopes.

I have several and would like to determine their general dates of manufacture. Serial numbers on my Pre-64 M-70s can be dated pretty easily.

Took some digging but found a Yahoo group dedicated to the Unertl scopes. A wealth of information. One of my scopes was mfg'ed in 1955 and the other in 1965. Perfect for the rifles they are on.
