What powders are you guys using that are working well in 223 I have a lot of x terminator powder it’s a western powder it would be nice to find a good load with that powder

If you go to the Hodgdon’s reloading site, they have data for all weight of bullets using x-terminator in 223.

Which bullets are you using/planning to use?
Which powder depends a lot on the weight of the bullet.

Favorites for weights from 50 to 68-grain, I like both CFE223 or AA2200. H322 is good, but velocities are not quite as fast as the other two.

It all depends. I use several and have several rifles in 223. 2 Bolt actions i use W748 with 50gr vmax. One bolt gun i use 73gr eldm with varget, AR with 50gr vmax i use H335, 55gr fmj i use H335. Another AR i use cfe223 with a 75gr bthp.

I use Benchmark for 55gr Varmageddons with great success, Varget and IMR 4895 for 77 gr Sierras also with good results.

I have been loading 55 gr FMJ with Xterminator and it shoots fine, throws perfectly. It does not fill the case.

60-77 TAC, RL15, Varget, CFE223

H322 is a great all around powder

2000 MR is good in bolt actions with heavy bullets.

8208 with 53 vmax. Over 3400fps and no pressure issues. Or h322 with 40gr noslers over 3700 again no pressure

In the 223 40-55 gr bullets I would buy Benchmark before 8208. Good news, if you find a good load with x-trem, Benchmark will probably be good also.

Tac is almost the same speed as 8208 and 4895.
