Boresmith Triangle patch and brush

Has anybody used these? I am trying them and so far like them, You can brush and patch in one step for faster cleaning and more of the patch touches the barrel.

I used them on a 222 and 17HMR. I ran a triangle patch with Kroil Oil on it thru each, left that in the bore for about a week, just didn't get beck there to finish cleaning. A patch or two of Eliminator then 3 or 4 dry patches and I had a couple of nice clean bores. I don't know if it was the Triangle tip, patch or Kroil Oil. But it was the fastest I've ever cleaned barrel. The 17 tapered tip didn't fit my rod, so I called, the nicest people to deal with, did every thing possible to "make it right". I now have the tapered brushes and patches for everything I shoot from 17 thru 30 caliber. The tapered brush, and 'funny' patches go thru the bore easier than square patches, but still have lots of contact. I recommend them, make cleaning quicker and almost enjoyable.

Here’s some articles from the daily bulletin on them. I have thought about trying them but the felt cleaning pellets have worked great for me plus I still have a bunch left.

Interesting - anything that makes cleaning easier is worth looking into. :) The tapered brushes are a very interesting innovation.

The Parker Hale jag also provide more patch surface area on the bore over a conventional jag which I suspect in a good thing. However, I was never able to get them to work for me, the patch would "bunch up".
