Arken Optics

This is very good information, where did you go to acquire it? Arken sells scopes for less and offers a combo pack at an affordable price, especially with the discount coupon that probably the other 10 or so companies don't. They are feature rich with a warranty that either equals or rivals other companies. The weight is not an issue for me. The one thing I don't like is when the other scopes from other companies that sell for $150-$250 more don't equal these scopes. I own 6 of them and I'm well satisfied. Currently also using Vortex's, S.S. 5-20HD, . No more N.F.'a but my next f class scope will probably be a Sightron.
Has far as the price goes, Arken has room to go up, just like that others. Especially being that we are under an inflation era right now. I believe they'll do their best to satisfy their customers.
It is well known info, several YT channels provide in depth info on how these brands are associated with LOW. Nightforce use the same resources for their glass, I believe some of their models are assembled in the US . LOW has a range of quality’s levels for everything, glass, turrets etc. you will notice that the plethora of brands in a typical price range all have the same turret designs, same mag ranges etc, well, that’s what’s on offer from LOW. The claimed differences are usually related to glass ( Japan has Schott glass too), so depending on where you want to compete, you can set the specs for LOW to build it. The recently launched Zeiss LRT range is build in Japan too. Dion, who builds March, was established by ex LOW employees.

You are welcome Don, I am relaying knowledge gained from a gentleman who’s both qualified and has worked with several optics companies around the globe. We are blessed to be in a position where even affordable optics are good enough to satisfy the majority of shooters, imo

I recently purchased a Meopta Optika6 4.5-27x50 SFP. I was wondering how the glass on it would compare to the Arken EP-5 5 X 25 X 56. The Meopta is working out just fine it tracks beautifully. It is just a bit too heavy and I'm thinking of making a switch to a lighter, scope.

The EP5 is heavier.

Arken’s new light weight offering comes in at 24-25 ounces in the 4-16x, I’ve had mine a week. Tracking was accurate and repeatable on my 100 yard mil grid target. There isn’t anything I don’t like or can complain about so far. Time will tell. My previous Arkens have had zero issues, I have a few hundred rounds out of Saum on their history too.

I bought an EP5 and for the money it is really hard to beat. I’m going to get a 4-16 for my son’s AR to run in steel shoots. No complaints other than the eye box is tight on the EP5 but again, for the money…
