Blue Bullets for 9mm Luger

Anybody using polymer-clad Blue Bullets (brand name and color) for reloading 9x19 practice ammo? The price is right and I'd like to know what those who use(d) them have to say.

I've used a metric ton of them for both practice and for USPSA. They work just fine. Most guns seem to prefer the special-order .356" over the .355" bullets.

Thanks - that's good to know! Do you find any plastic residue after firing? I assume if there is any it's not hard to remove.

The price of Blues shipped are just baaaaarely lower than high quality JHP from Precision Delta etc. Why Blue?
I;m afraid you're mistaken. The price for Blue bullets at Powder Valley is about $5.00/250 less than Precision Delta wants per 100 for jacketed bullets. But thanks for responding.

I went this route, might as well shoot a very accurate bullet, sized for your barrel with the amount of hardness you want.

I want to shoot my actual self defense loads in IDPA
7.8g of AA#7 with this bullet is extremely accurate, and expands to 69 caliber in 5 gallon water jugs, check out the price for 2000

You can specify hardness and dia you want

Looks like we may need them soon~!

Who buys Precision Deltas by the 100 pk? Order 2k at a time, big price difference, with free shipping! You know your gonna need them sooner or later.

That's good advice, but I'm 84 and primarily a rimfire benchrest shooter. I buy match grade .22lr by the case but don't shoot much pistol these days. I don't need 2K 9mm bullets. I'd probably end up buying them for my heirs, and they don't reload. But thanks for the input. :)

If you want to keep the little guys in business. I really like the DG bullets for the stuff that I don't cast on my own. I wanted to experiment around with different 9mm weights and profiles, before buying molds and found that the 147's in .356, shoot absolutely, lights out! in all my guns (both pistol and pcc). They are a BLAST suppressed and brought back the childhood like fun of plinking : )

Pardon my ignorance, but what's a DG bullet?

It is another brand.

The original post was asking about Blue.
Someone had to interject with their their use of DG into the discussion even though they probably have never had any experience with Blue
I've run Montana, Missouri, Acme, DG and Meister but never Blue. Can't comment either way on them but i'm sure they are great. DG was the best deal (the last I looked)and .356 was not a custom sizing.

How much?

Blues are typically available with discount codes and come out below 6 cents ea. I bought 1200 today for 6 cents shipped.
