New daystate pcp airgun

Im glad you like em. Im too deep in the pcp world to swap! Someday ill try one though. I am not against them
Just wanted to poke a little fun at you Dusty. Pcps can be very amazing also. You should make some time to enjoy yours. I actually have a guy bringing a Weirauch 100 for me to look at to our next 200 yards winter bench match. Do you know anything about that model?

And buy a lot of scopes!
My 6x24 x56 Hawke is over 8000 shots, seems to be doing pretty good don't you think? In our group no one has had a scope failure . But, no one is shooting Chink junk guns . Emmy new Diana 54 is getting a Sightron, we will see. Glad to see response from other airguns, even you guys from them dark side.

I know. I dont know about that model. I only got into airguns because i was gifted an FX royale, then i started wanting to shoot the ultimate benchrest match, watched what was winning, then got into daystates

You need one of those Thomas built guns, look like a rail gun.

Old wives tale. I own 15 springers. Never broke a scope.
Which brand of scopes do you use?

I broke a scope once on a springer. I never dropped it or anything so it was definitely from the recoil. The old wife wasn’t wrong.

I only put Leupolds and Bushnell Elites on my springers after that and there were no more problems. Those and several other brands really are much tougher than other scopes.

I think etched reticles have ended the problem if there was one. I will find out when my Diana 54 .22 comes back from getting tuned. I am not having the power reduced but am getting the slid system properly adjusted to match the power. The 54s are called scope killers. I will find out with a Sightron.

Yes you will. I’m running a Sightron STAC (4-16x I think) on my Diana 34 and so far it’s performed well. But I don’t have many shots on it yet and it’s only shooting at 11 ft-lb. The 54 is nearly twice the power.

Anyone who believes its truly an old wives tale should put a new March on there and see how things go.

I have Hawke, Element, UTG, Vortex scopes on my springers. All are inexpensive Chinese manufactured in the $200-$300 range. Most likely made in the same factory.

PCP rifles are awesome and amazingly accurate at their very limited effective ranges. But there’s a line I have to draw in the sand when it comes to how much money I will spend on one. The price tags on Daystate and some other brands is just insane when you think about how much that same amount of money will buy you in a custom centerfire rifle. Im sure Daystate makes really nice products but there’s no way my mind could ever justify spending that much money on an air rifle.

PS: Once you go PCP, you’ll never go back to springers ;)

Ive seen most brands of guns in my days and a daystate is finished as good as the finest. The stock on my red wolf is glass smooth with zero trash or sags like it was sanded and buffed, the entire rifle doesnt even have a machined spot on any metal like they hand polished each piece, the laser engraving you cant even feel, even the wiring and magazines are absolute perfection. I wish they made rimfires or centerfires.

Due to the rimfire ammo rape in kalitràz the guys at redwood gun club in Humboldt County have been changing over to pcps and shooting bench to 100 yds....no regulations by twosome newsome.

New to the world of pcp air rifles, purchased an FX Panthera man is it fun and went from accurate to crazyIMG_0092.jpeg accurate after i tuned it. Beer cans at 200 out to 300 yards are remarkable easy... love this thing.
