Yea, I agree. The battery pack is awesome. I wonder if it isn't even better than using 110V as the line current would be very stable. She was just trying to do you a favor by turning you onto the battery pack
Way better. Smooth solid power. Havent plugged mine into a wall outlet in years. Rock steady readingsYea, I agree. The battery pack is awesome. I wonder if it isn't even better than using 110V as the line current would be very stable.
I want to convert my A&D 120i / auto throw / autotrickler setup over to battery power.Way better. Smooth solid power. Havent plugged mine into a wall outlet in years. Rock steady readings
Bart has posted his method before. I dont use that scaleI want to convert my A&D 120i / auto throw / autotrickler setup over to battery power.
Can you suggest how this can be done? I have no idea what I’d need to buy or hook up to get away from the wall power that can be flakey from day to day.

It should be easy enough use a battery for the A&D 120i, but beware that it's polarity is opposite that of cables that come with most batteries, the + and - are reversed. It operates off of the same 12v and plugs that a Chargemaster does, but the cables are not the same. Cables can be purchased that reverse the polarity, but they need to be marked so they aren't used for most other things.I want to convert my A&D 120i / auto throw / autotrickler setup over to battery power.

How could you ever know this unless someone told you?? Just curious. I was thinking of running it off of the flashfish battery setup like Bart did. This way I can just plug it into the flashfish using the same wall wort it came with that I use now, correct? It should be easy enough use a battery for the A&D 120i, but beware that it's polarity is opposite that of cables that come with most batteries, the + and - are reversed. I don't mean to question your answer, but probably not. The A&D unit has a reversed polarity from most common things. I will admit that I'm not familure with Barts set up and how the + and - are arranged on the supply unit he uses and it is possible there is a switch to reverse the polarities. It may even come reversed, I don't know. But, most batteries are set up a standard way in the US.
I looked at Barts post and then looked at the battery he was using, so I wish to correct some of what I posted.I want to convert my A&D 120i / auto throw / autotrickler setup over to battery power.

The way bart does it is plug in the standard wall wart to a battery pack with a 110v outlet. Its no different than doing it to a wall outlet, so if im wrong then it wouldnt work at your house.I looked at Barts post and then looked at the battery he was using, so I wish to correct some of what I posted.
Dusty is probably right that using the method Bart used will work. (Sorry Dusty) It will work using the 110 Volt outlet from the battery pack.
The unit Bart used also has provisions for a 12 Volt cigarette lighter outlet. The 12 Volt polarity outlet would need to be reversed as I suggested when using it.
The references I had described applied to using a lithium ion battery pack.
