Looking for directions for 6mm GT for varmint bullets loads.

I have a 6mm GT being spun up with a Krieger 9 twist barrel on a Deviant Hunter action. My plan is to shoot P. dogs with 87 grain Vmax's. Reason for bullet is they are available and will take care of both coyotes and P. dogs.
Looking for directions on starting loads and powders to use. Also want temp. stable powders please.

SOMEBODY must also want to use this cartridge for inside 500 yard shots. YES I know it will reach alot further but our
goup like to watch the splatter!

hello, amazing to find this post and question as i too am working on this, exact! i spoke with a great helping agent/employee/shooter from MPA, they are going to build a pair of BA bolts for me and is getting me the answers and specs to make this happen, he recommended the 1/9 also for use of the 87g vmax . i have been using a mpa ba bolt gun in 6arc, love the explosion and all of the 6arc pros, and only want to see if the 6gt will add a lil extra juicy to my explosions for only about 5-8 more grains of powder and not jump to somn like the 6cm to achieve that. the fellow also recommend i go to h-4350 vs varget in this set up, better barrel life is a must over a lil few fps, major easy access to components and srp are also a must. i'm still on initial set of 2600 rounds of brass-amp annealing every case ea time and now have 8-9 reloads on most and 10-12 on on about 25% that i initially shot in first AR builds. only about 25 cases have had damage enough to toss em in 3 yr. it's been a real task to stock up on 6arc brass and i feel if i can get 4000-5000 cases in 6gt and boost about 300-400 fps on the 87g vmax- i will also insulate my hobby ;) i'm making 5-6 trips per summer shooting 2500 rounds per trip, most fun you can have with you clothes on ;) especially at 50y-old plus ;). any one with info on using 87g at 3300 fps and or 6gt info on h-4350, i thank you- see some cool lil short vids on youtube-prariedogexpress-is the channel

Sorry, I know this is older- I don't recall my exact load but since I couldn't find load data for the 6GT with 87gr bullets I looked up the load data for 6BR and 6x47 and split the difference- GT is almost right between these two cartridges. I can't recall nor find where I wrote down the charge but I believe I used 34-35gr Varget and had a velocity of around 3150. Low recoil, would detonate on prairie dogs under 300 yards BUT was also VERY consistent for longer pokes (killed several around 850-900 rounds with 1-2 rounds). Honestly I love this bullet. They've shot awesome groups in every rifle I've loaded them for (4 rifles, 6 barrels).

I've been using the 6 GT for a few years now with the 87 Gr.Berger VLD. Varget has worked very well for me and I have cleanly taken deer, bear, and Bobcats with that combination. It is very accurate and consistent. I am very pleased with it and I'm hard to please.

Anyone tried H4895 with the 87VM? I did with the 80 ELDVT about 3250. It wasn’t hot at all. But I like the performance of the 87VM better.
