If he had the stock thats wild. Bolt looks half closed
Waiting on him to get back to me.Send it back to the rifle builder...
http://accu-tig.com/Is it something that I would need to ship the entire rifle, or could I just ship the bolt? Hopefully the builder messages me back, I messaged him Sunday night. If not, any recommendations on who to ship it to for repair? Kinda bummed, I paid $2500 for the rifle and it's unusable the way it currently is.
That bolt is modified way too long.that handle appears to be welded on incorrectly.
Length is a personal preference. You should see some of mine . I put shifter knobs on them . It all depends on how much arm strenght you have .That bolt is modified way too long.

Not sure what using QD rings would accomplish. Not planning on pulling the scope every time I want to cycle the bolt. You could use QD scope rings.
If i raise the scope up high enough to clear the bolt it's sitting way to high off the action.Or you need to use higher rings
Not quite that bad. But that's the general idea.Heres what it looks like from the topView attachment 1403808
I was joking.. I'm sure you don't want to remove the scope each time you need to cycle the action. Not sure what using QD rings would accomplish. Not planning on pulling the scope every time I want to cycle the bolt.
One idea ?So I bought this rifle about a year and a half ago, and I'm finally getting around to mounting a scope and getting ready to shoot it. It's a Remington 700 action, using Seekins low rings, and a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 scope. When you open the bolt handle it contacts the scope before opening all the way.
I've tried mocking up a couple other scopes, and they both also keep the bolt from opening. Tried also using a couple different height picatinny risers I have for ar's and the scope needs to raise about a 1/2" to clear and that throws my cheek weld way off.
The bolt is cerakoted. Is this something that if I sent it to a gunsmith they could easily bend it a little and put enough relief in it to clear the scope?

A class act, as always Alex.I built this rifle for myself very early on. This was when I was trying out a bunch of different handles to correct timing. Obviously this handle, when timed for maximum primary extraction sits way too high. I never scoped the rifle, a buddy wanted it, he never scoped it either. So I missed it. A mistake on my part. Im taking care of it though.
Not my first mistake and wont be my last.A class act, as always Alex.![]()
