7 FCP, a cartridge developed specifically for the F Class Scene...

My bad, the 7prc is 83 grains h2o, a whole different animal tho performance wise sounds like they are closer than 10 grains difference would lead you to expect.

Two new 7 FCP rifles with experimental throats that are far from conventional. Severe pressure reducing, more velocity and accuracy. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning but David Kiff said to trust him and I gotta say, I am not disappointed at all! I'll keep everyone updated. These are shots 3-7, 5 shots each at 100 yards to get zeros in scopes before we move out further, out of two new barrels and rifles with the new 7 FCP with the testing of the new unorthodox throats. Wonder what they will do with actual load development. This was with 57.5 of N555 and Berger 180's.KIMG0489_01_BURST1000489_COVER.JPGKIMG0490_01_BURST1000490_COVER.JPG

Just out of curiosity, how long will these unconventional throats realistically be expected to last as the round count goes up? I'm not asking for any proprietary or specific details, just wondering whether any special throat geometry is actually going to last very long before throat erosion renders it "different" than what it was when new.

The FCO looks significantly bigger than the standard SAUM but has the same capacity. Is the FCP smaller diameter or have more taper that is hard to see in the photo?
Yes, it’s a narrower case. Based off the PRC which is 0.532, where i believe the SAUM is 0.550.

Sounds good. I'd like to see someone to a 7-6.5PRC SLR. . . . . . . ie shoulder pushed back to provide to the neck length of the SAUM then blow it out to 40-45 deg to regain some capacity.

That should be about perfect for a 2920 node with 4350, tough primer pockets and respectable barrel life

10 different charges. Shot three times each not at the same time. So shots 1-10 are all different charges for the ladder, then start again for shots 11-20, then again for 21-30. Ladders are only hold it they repeat when the gun is cold and hot.
