Smallbore Prone & F-Class Matches At Kettlefoot, Bristol Va

i have posted this in both the Smallbore section and the regular competition section of this site, i figure that some folks read the one or the other without ever visiting the other section on the site.

Needing to gauge interests in folks willing to come to Bristol Va for Smallbore F-Class and prone matches. Would be a monthly 1600 match, we can also have a Regional 3200 and State Championships as well.. But before pushing for enhancements made to the range, i need to get a good idea of how many would regularly come to these matches. Kettlefoot has a long running relationship with local hotels in getting them to give discounts for competitors coming to shoot major matches at Kettlefoot. Kettlefoot is the home of the Rimfire National for Indoor ARA Factory Rifle, the ARA IR50/50 PSL Triple Crown and the ABRA outdoor and indoor National Championships in Benchrest. Being central to Tn, Ky, VA, NC, SC, this could be a great spot for competition! So what do you say folks?

6.5 hrs one-way from me in Virginia Beach so I might make the trip for a 3200 but not a 1600.

Coming from Asheville NC so a pretty easy drive. I hope to go there a few times in 2023.

USMCDOC,
I am in SWVA about 2 hr from Bristol. What is the course of fire for F-class? What equipment is needed?

Mark, club matches would be a 1600 point agg.. meaning 160 rounds for record and unlimited sighters. If want to shoot sling.. well iron sights and rifle with sling.. or Smallbore F-Class which, which the rifle may not weigh more than 18.1 lbs, must use a two pc rest (frong rest and rear bag). there will be Match One with two stages at 50 yards, then Match Two is a 50 meter reduced to 50 yards for the metric phase one stage (two stages), then the Dewar Match (Stage One is at 50 yards and Stage Two is at 100 yards) and then to finish the day, there will be a match at 100 yards (two stages) for a 1600 total agg.

Just so you know, I moved my TN State to April 29 & 30 from 1st weekend in May. How are you coming on your schedule?

Interested in this possibly. I've shot skeet and trap at kettlefoot a few times, but I'm Interested in getting into some 22lr competitions now. Do you shoot the indoor league as well?
