So I have two new Savage 30-06 builds that I need to load for.
#1 Is a 22” mag taper 10” twist zero extra freebore
#2 Is a 18” bull taper 10” twist zero freebore

I have 125-180 in just about anything

My break in loads are a 165 Hornady SP over 55-57 IMR 4350

Want to try
125 SST and NBT
150 SST and Speer 150 SPBT
165 NBT and SST
180 SBT

Every rifle and barrel will show variations from loading manuals and shooter's data. You will need to test with your components and your rifle to achieve the best information. Here are a couple of examples for two of the Nosler bullets:

Enjoy the process!

Depends on what exactly that you are asking?
Nobody will be able to tell you on an Internet forum which loads will be safe & shoot the best in your rifle. Like was stated above, you have to test in your rifle. With that being said, there are powders and loads that usually do well in most rifles. I have had good results in my 30-06s using H4350; IMR 4350; IMR 4064; StaBall6.5 and a few others. Some of the manuals will tell which loads shot well in their test rifle, these loads can be a good place to start. Decide what you want to accomplish with the rifle, pick a bullet that is suited to that task, and then experiment with several powder charges that are appropriate for that bullet weight (shown in the manual). You can do pretty well with the IMR 4350 that you have with all of those bullet weights.
Good luck

I have a base 165 load with IMR 4350. Was thinking varget under the 125s 56gr ish
And the 4350 was my thought for the 150s

I understand how to work a load was just looking for some darts to throw like the post above

From the little I know, I determined for my very accurate '06, which I want to shoot to 600, that the 178 eld-x was the teats. If I had an 10t instead of 11t then I would be using the 200 eld-x and extend to 800.

4064 has been tge go to for years
Hammered in every garand , springfield, etcwith 150-180 gr bullets on the line
For less than 150 I liked 4895.
My go to load for vintage military matches with service rifles was 4895 and a sierra 135smk
One year at Perry they almost ran me out of time as I destroyed the target in slow prone blowing out the spotter on every shot

Remington 30-06. 125gr SST Bullet

Powder. IMR4064. 53gr.

Hornady Brass CCI Primer

This is a great load for my Deer Rifle.

Well I tried several today in both guns. The short bull barrel really liked the 150 gr Speer BTSP over 57.5gr of the IMR 4350.

The 22” barrel gun did not seem to have a sweet spot for anything. I am going to try some other 165s some 150 SSTs and some180 NBTs in it.

Just a note the 125NBTs and SSTs did ok just over an 1” but I think I would like to stay with at least a 150gr bullet

I always ran the 4064 with 150 gr hornady in my couple and always shot good through them. Recently I started tinkering with Barnes 130 ttsx out of my one 06 and it seems I’m getting some promise with a full load of varget. Now if weather would get better I could try some more seating depths.

The most accurate load I have shot in my custom 30/06 is the Hornady 168 grn ELD with enough Reloader 16 to hit 2850 fps.
