Respectfully, the flag situation I brought up is strictly about flag use when load testing....when you have plenty of time for the flags to get exactly the same for each shot.

Flag management skill in tournament conditions when the clock is runnin' is another kettle of fish altogether.

I've never been able to see anyone pick 10 shots at 1k. Even with flags all over the place! WH is tricky to say the least! Tough there for sure. Myself, I shoot alot of sighters and try and find what flag or flags that make predictable changes and go from there. I run them...once committed I don't stop, nor do I watch for changes. The goal is to get 10 smooth shots off in 10-15 seconds. When you know you are running smooth you can multiple rounds off without making rest adjustments with a LG.

No wind flag or chrono needed. 30.1 for lower load, 30.5 for higher, both will produce very well after you find the seating depth they like. Should be good for out to 300 for sure, maybe 600, but then a chrono will help with fine tuning (if needed).

Your NightForce NX8 4x32 is the limiting factor in your ability to hold small on the target. if you have a higher power optic but that on their for the test.

The NX-8 4-32 is a 32X magnification scope. If it has the CF2D reticle in it, it has a floating dot that subtends .100 MOA if I remember correctly. I have one of them and it is quite possible to hold in the center of a half inch dot at 400 yards. That scope is not a limiting factor for this rifle.
