I don't think there crossed with a dog there's just not many of them, I've only killed 2 of them

Black Coyotes are in the SouthEast mostly and its not from a dog. Very few black ones born

A hunting buddy of mine called in and shot a black coyote 2 years in a row in NE Ohio. And they were as black as coal. He told me that the second one he got was DNA (?) tested and it was in fact a full blooded coyote. They are pretty rare, but not unheard of. Just a color phase or mutation I suppose. WD
Out of 200 plus kills I have killed 7 so there is probably 3% chance or less of seeing or killing one. The biggest coyote I ever killed was 50 lbs and it was a black one. I hunt/live in the southeast NC region.
