22bra reamer help

My smith is going order a reamer and asked for me to let him know what neck dimensions I want and freebore. I don’t want to turn necks and hoping to shoot 75gr eld’m mainly but hoping to try the 85.5’a and 88’s as well for fun

Make some dummy rounds with what ever bullets you want to shoot. Neck diameter and freebore needs can then be measured.

I have a 0.254 neck and 0.100 freebore on my 22BR that do just what you want. A dummy round is the most definitive way to confirm that the neck is big enough though with your specific brass.

75 eldm would be about a 70 fb.

88 Eldm would be about 170 fb.

Totally different animals. Just saying.

254 is no turn on every commercial brass that I know of...
