Anschutz 1532 .222

Picked up Anschutz 1532 in .222 REM. Anyone have any experience with these? Have had several Sako in .222 over the years and they were good shooters. Have two Anschutz 54 rimfires that are great.

I have a Anschutz 1740D in 222 REM bye far one of my favorite rifles. Taken many types of critters with it up to a 250lb boar hog. Very accurate thrives on 50gr bullets. Works well with a variety of powders reloader 7 being my current choice. Recently added a surpressor and it has made shooting much more enjoyable. Can’t say enough about how much I enjoy shooting this rifle.

I had one years ago, I loaded for it but Anshutz says only to use factory ammo. It was finicky but I finally found a load that worked well and it would really shoot. I am thinking I had to shoot it single shot as the finished round was too long for the magazine.
Mine was a 153, it had blond wood and a rosewood fore end cap like a 141. Gary

Good shooting rifles, but not the most robust action. I believe that the barrel is "pinned" in rather than threaded (maybe not that particular model?) I was looking for one, when I came across a Tikka, which I still have and use too infrquently.

Here is 1532. Stock is ugly but fits me well and similar to Sako Varmint style. Rifle is from 1989 according to date code. Metal and condition is better than 95% and bore perfect. I removed the factory iron sights and have my spare leupold EFR on it for testing. Have some factory Lapua match to start with. Will se how it goes.
