Eley tenex

Eley site:
Tenex - 1085 fps, lube beeswax tallow
Tenex Pistol- 1079 fps, lube beeswax tallow
Tenex Biathlon- 1160 fps, lube Biathlon lube designed for straight pull biathlon rifles

I couldn't look at the link (my network issues) so this may have been addressed.

I thought Biathlon had a smaller diameter for the entire cartridge, not just the bullet. As an aid to smoother clambering in very cold conditions.

Yes, you are right.
I read somewhere that it's 1.5thou" smaller in diameter.
I know one shooter who tried it here and didn't like it...but not much point using it here in Summer!
Probably works well when your rifle is at freezing point, and all the metal bits have shrunk a tad.

Thanks Grey Kiwi, and 1911nut.

That's what I thought I remembered. And thanks especially for supplying original source data that actually answers the question!. Of course if everyone did that it would really shorten some of these discussions.

Thanks,

Dave
