Suppressor and Trust Questions

I have a suppressor and would like to change over to a trust. I have called a couple Lawyers and they are charging $400 an hour.

There are several places on the net where they charge under $100 and supposedly provide the paperwork and advice.

Has anyone here recently set up a trust after already having the suppressor? Who did you go through?

Thanks.

Jim

If you are an individual owner, and intend to change ownership to a trust, I'm pretty sure you will have to refile a form 4 and pay the $200 tax again. Anytime a suppressor changes custody it needs to go through the system. I could be wrong about that but I don't think so.

Yes, I know I will have to refile the form 4.

It is getting the form 4 filled out correctly the first time that I am concerned about. I am looking for a reliable resource for the information, and I don't mind paying a reasonable price, but I don't plan on going to a lawyer.

Thank you.

Take a look at National Gun Trust. They will set up the trust, for a very reasonable fee, and are very helpful with questions and support. They will also review your paperwork, again for a reasonable fee, but way less than 400 an hour. They also have all the necessary fingerprint cards, etc , to get the trust set up.

Hi Gary,
That is one of the resources I was looking at. Thank you.

I used these guys for my trust and NFA items. Very good service and price.
