Low power scope recommendations

I'm looking to put a low power variable on my deer rifle. Here in the woods of PA high magnification isn't what I'm after, thinking of something like a 1-10. Currently have a 4-16 on it and that's way more scope than I want or need. That said, all the ones I have seen have the utterly useless to me BDC reticle, which are pricey and cluttered. Does anyone make a fairly simple scop in the 6,8,or 10x range?

Whats your longest shot going to be there? Do you take running shots?

Leupold 3-9x 40mm Freedoms are a decent bang for the buck. Used one for Deer shot from 130 to 200 yards no issues. Very clean simple duplex reticle but many to choose from. And the Magnetic lens caps are pretty nice.

They are very light weight.

I have more expensive scopes but for hunting Deer you really don't need anything more. Could go less power too. VX-Freedom 2-7x33 Rimfire MOA

I put three of the 3-9x on three 450 Bushmaster bolts and so far in 3-4 years they all work fine and 6 of 6 shots = 6 dead bucks 70 to 200 yards. They handle the recoil too.

What are you hunting with? What Caliber?

Leu. VX-3HD 1.5 x 5 x 20 Ill. Fire dot
3.5 x 10 x 40 Ill. Fire Dot
These are crosshair reticles with Ill center dots w/ 30mm tubes.
I have the 3.5x10x40 on my daughters slug gun.

Thanks guys, but I am definitely looking for 1x or at the most 2x to 6,8, or 10x top. Shots in the forest here tend to be from maybe 150yds in to "fix bayonets" range (certainly more to the latter). Shooting a CZ in 6.5x55, so yes, the rifle will reach further, but the conditions will not. And if I was looking to go on a hunt where more extended distances are possible, I'd drop one of my higher power scopes back on for that trip.

Sig makes an awesome LPVO. I personally have the 1x6 and LOVE the reticle in it, I would not use this mount (included) on a bolt gun but you could always use standard 30mm rings. It is stout! Not the lightest scope on the market but with a NO BS warranty it's worth every penny ; )
Edit: They also come in 4x, 8x and 10x

Thanks for the recommendation Dan, that's the sort of thing, I'm looking for, except for it having a bdc reticle, though that is one of the least obnoxious of that style reticle so I will keep it in mind

For calling coyotes everywhere I use Leupold VX-2's and 3's in 1-4 or 1.5-5, a couple of Leupold Freedoms in 1.5-4, a number of 1.5-6x42's by various makers and a couple Athlon 2-12x42s . Deer hunting it is Weaver V-3's and Leupold 1-4x20's (still hunting and tracking)

I do have a couple oddballs that get some time killing coyotes a B&L Balvar 8 (kind of a stunt to prove a point) but it works well and I could live with it full time) and a Leupold 2-7 compact on my little Vixen.
