Muzzle threading barrel diameter

Yep thread barrel 11/16 and make up a male/female adapter that shoulders up internally on the muzzle. That way you can make the shoulder for the can as large as you want.

Try threading to a 9/16-32 thread. use and adapter onto the Can!
This.
I thread sporter barrels of around .700 at the muzzle in 9/16", typically 28 tpi.

Then use this adapter if your want to use a 5/8" threaded can:

The biggest reason for 11/16 is the caliber…
Thanks for the catch- I missed the .450 caliber- I was completely wrong.
The minor diameter for the 11/16" is .645-.650 depending on class of thread, so you'd have the minimum .200 over minor needed for barrel wall thickness.

Problem is the major of around .680 leaves absolutely no torque shoulder on a .705 barrel.

I'd cut a flat crown after threading it, then machine an adapter to index off the muzzle- it's the only way I can see this being done.

You need a good shoulder for your suppressor to lock up against especially if it doesn't sleeve down the barrel.if it's forward mounted a slight knock or a fall undetected and your going to put a bullet through the side of your can.ive seen quite a few come in with holes through the side.mainly light barreld stalking rifles.taken a knock on a stalk and now you've got two exit holes.i fit quite alot of suppressors for stalkers and fox shooters with light barreld rifles and try to steer them in the direction of suppressor which sleeves down the barrel with a nylon bushing at the rear.also take into account of the slight chamfer on the start of the thread on your suppressor that won't help things if you've got minimal shoulder on your barrel.

I guess you could set it up like the old Mausers and use two shoulders. First contact at the muzzle and second contact at the shoulder when tightened. Either one will work, imo, but two has to be better, right? It sure does make a tight joint, fwiw.

I have a 450bm and have a suppressor on the way, the rifle is a ruger American that is not threaded, I am willing to buy the stuff to remove barrel to get threaded… but I’m nervous about enough material to thread… the threads would be 11/16 (.6875”) threads… muzzle diameter is .705”… I don’t think that’s enough is it?
This is what TBAC thinks:

Looks like they want a minimum of roughly .050 of actual shoulder. Hard to argue with that but you could probably get by with a little less. Just my opinion though. That's about what I consider minimum for a brake and I've probably done a thousand or more brake jobs without an issue. That hair could be split a few times due to other factors, like steel hardness but again, hard to argue with about .050 as a safe minimum.
