Guns and ammo purchases on credit cards get a new code

the UPS shipping deal has nothing to do with this code issue
 
It's not about coding a particular retail point of sale, that's already in place. This is about building a FINANCIAL DATABASE about PURCHASERS of particular items(that are legal to purchase here). And according to VISA the ability to BLOCK the purchase due to moral or ethical reasons (CCC would need a database for that, which it sounds like they do not since they questioned the legality of it.)

Feinstein and Warren pushed this at the fed level. And too many of the card companies are afraid to go against these two witches. I might have misspelled witches? They will keep turning the screws until something breaks. Hang on boys for the ride, we cannot let them win. Whatever it takes. Jeff

In arkansas they do not do a background check if you have a CC permit. The 4473 stays at the dealer. Nobody ever knows you bought a gun… unless you use a CC now. Even if they run a nics check it doesnt specify what or how many anyway. There is no database currently for past or present firearms purchases.
 
Here in Mn the ccw permit USED to allow just the filling out of the 4473. The ATF stopped it a couple years ago. To many non citizens had been issued permits.

Visa made some interesting statements about this. Visa appears to have been against it but it was forced upon them. Visa made a comment; a warning perhaps, that they oppose this because they don't want to be put into a position to deny legal purchases.

What you said! I know that the government already has the same info off the FFL form but they still have to jump through a few hoops before they can just give it away. These darn credit card companies can leak it to anyone they want . And besides that I hate the card companies anyway, they are nothing more than legalized loan sharks. I've never paid them a dimes interest in 40yrs. I just use them, they send me a nice report of my yearly transactions that's already itemized that I can just hand to my accountant. I don't know if there's enough of us to make a dent in their bottom line or not but if everyone stops using them to buy guns, I promise you that the foolishness will stop. I feel like it's our obligation to to at least try to get a lick in any time you can... John
