Another powder question. for 6bra and ts 15.5

I know this subject has been discussed in various ways. I'm in a small dilemma with a few choices with my shooting. I have a a jug of Ts15.5 iv not picked up yet. 8lber. I shoot 6bra with 108s and 105s. New barrel is doing well. Shot a bunch 3 shot .2s and a bunch of 5 shot .3s Barrel is broke in good With about 250 rds. Shot variety, AR comp, Rl15 and H4350 And Imr 4350.
Every one of these powders shoot excellent.
To me thus far Iv found seating depth is about the most important thing to find and be consistent with. Like last week I wanted to verify Jam on my 108s and found that hard jam moved like 5 or six thou out. This past year Iv tried to take my shooting more serious just to get better and I keep accumulating powder and barrels and scopes and stocks and just anything related to shooting I think I need I try to get. If it won't kill the bank.
So what I'm asking is. This new powder that Iv not tried yet , Is it magic ? or have I got a disease yet that ther is no cure for?
Cuz if it's treatable. I need to get help or just buy the stuff and hope for best.

Yes, it’s a disease for which the only known cure is more rounds downrange :)!

TS 15.5 is relatively new and many (including me) hope it’s ”magic”! Doubt that it is, but I’m anxious to try some in my 6BRs:p!

I think @DaleTN has had success with 15.5 in 6BRA. I tested some in one of my BRA barrels and the entire test was horrible. I never put three VT bullets in a hole at 100 yards. I really don't believe it was the powder because, looking back, that barrel had never performed well. I decided to write that barrel off and move on. I will do more testing after the 600 Yard Nationals next week with a different barrel and I have seen very good results with 15.5 in my fast twist 223. I had only been able to get to 24 grains of Varget with the 90VLD in this barrel but 15.5 gave me near 100FPS more with better accuracy.

Shooting it in a Dasher. It did NOT like BR4’s and it wasn’t too fond of 450’s either. 400’s worked good and I haven’t tried anything else YET. It did NOT like the trip from MO to GA. I was probably running it too hot anyway. It is definitely worth a look.

Ts 15.5 is AR COMP but about 2 grains slower.

Awesome stuff.

If you can't get your 6bra to shoot with AR COMP and Ts 15.5, you have another issue.
Bradley is correct here, but I would say TS 15.5 is more like a faster Reloder(R) 16. The burn speed is approximately halfway between Reloder 16 and AR-Comp. The physical characteristics are more similar to Reloder 16, whereas the granulation of AR-Comp is smaller (similar to Reloder 15).
I designed TS 15.5 to fill the gap between the faster powders 4895/RL15/Varget and RL16/4350's. For applications where you guys are pushing the faster powders to high pressures to get the velocities you need, but there isn't enough volume to fit the 4350 speed materials to get the performance needed, Reloder TS 15.5 will take some of the pressure off your expensive components or reach higher velocities at equivalent pressures.
Good luck with our new high-performance powder.

I prefer the lower velocity nodes and have recently only been able to buy IMR 4166 and IMR 8208, which are faster burning than Varget. The lower charge weights have increased unfilled case volume to less than desired. I’m hoping that TS 15.5 will produce similar velocities at slightly higher charge weights thereby decreasing empty case volume.

Yah, I know right???

Halfway between AR COMP and R16, that's what I said!!! Hahaha hahaha

The one, two, three punch!!!

:)

Awesome powder!!!

Ps:. I found in the 6xc that ar COMP was about 4 grains faster than R16 to get the same velocity, and Ts 15.5 was right between almost exactly. (Or thereabouts). That's why I said 2 grains slower.

Thank you for contributing to this Forum like you have over the years

Iv shot this stuff all week and I'm impressed.
So much so I took all load data from my other powder charts and chucked em. I keep targets from my best days off shootin and the ones from this week are my best. 200. 300 400 bests are now with Ts15.5
I started at 28 went to 32 settled on 30.5
with 108s.
I'm getting 10 good shots before anything stupid happens and I can see my seating depth changes much better for some reason.
I'm very glad I got the 8lber now.
I got lucky to. The very same day I picked it up I was able to sell my other powders to someone who shoots creedmoor.
Anyway.
I like it!

I’m pleased with TS15.5 in my 6BR! Testing revealed small groups (~.75 inch) at 300 yards shooting Berger 105 VLDs, CCI 450, at charge weights of 29.5 and 29.8 grains. Charge weight with TS 15.5 increased ~2 grains compared to IMR 4166 and 8208 which decreased empty case volume as hoped.

I was back here re-reading some older posts. I had no idea, I think I read this right. You are the maker? Of this powder. That's pretty awesome.
I just bought a new lb today, I had 8 lb jug. Anyway.
Would you know if any published data for this stuff in the Bra case? Sent you a message
Thanks
