It's with great pleasure that we can now announce the release date for entries for the 2022 G.B.F.C.A European F-Class Championships.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to welcome on board Vihtavuori, our main sponsor at this years competition. With Vihtavuori supporting us this year and celebrating 100 years of excellence, we're going all out to attract our biggest attendance to date and promise all our competitors, 6 days of extremely competitive, long range shooting on the world-famous Stickledown range at Bisley, UK.

@BigRichie I am ignorant and don't fully understand the rationale: I have to become a member of GB F Class Association for the sole purpose of participating in EU Championships in Bisley.

Hi Marchx,

Thanks for making contact and in reply to your message. The G.B.F.C.A European Championships are run by our association along with 7 other league rounds shot within the UK each year. At each of these league rounds, points are given to the Top 20 shooters in each class (F/TR & F-Open) for end of year awards relating to the highest grand aggregates.
The G.B.F.C.A European Championships is our flag ship event and because of its size, attracts competitors from all around the world (mainly Europe hence its name) and acts as Round 6 of our leagues season. This isn't a stand alone event nor run by another governing body like ICFRA.

Therefore, In order to be able to purchase entries and be eligible to shoot at the NRA's Bisley UK range without being an NRA member, all our participants must first become G.B.F.C.A members. Our participants/membership are then covered by our own insurance for that season, able to compete at Bisley UK under the G.B.F.C.A's umbrella and can also qualify for league points awarded after each event.

Hi Rope2horns,

I'm not an expert on this matter so please don't take everything I say as gospel but as far as I'm aware from the latest UK updates on the 18th March...
When arriving in England from abroad, you do not need to take any Covid-19 tests or fill in a UK passenger locator form. You also don't need to quarantine on arrival, irrespective of your vaccination status and these changes apply whether you are fully vaccinated or not so I'd say no, you don't need to be vaccinated to travel.

The UK has just removed the vaccine requirements for entry to the UK.

They resume. My friend in London had said that all of Friday’s matches were to be cancelled. They have two individual days and a team event remaining, something like 110 more record shots, I understand from him.

My understanding is that because of the lost day Friday the normal Sunday team event has been cancelled so that the individual event can be shot in entirety (Sat & Sun).
