I want to chamber a 22 BR Ackley. I know it will be incredible. I need to find a reamer. I will order a reamer, but I am assuming it is going to quite a wait. Anyone have a NO TURN reamer?

You thinking zero freebore twisted slow or faster twist for targets with heavies and some freebore

I like the BRA because there is not real hassle with fireforming Lapua.
And I like the 300 thousandths long neck of the BRA.
Good on you Greg!I know you mentioned a BRA, but if you need/want to borrow a reamer for a 22 Dasher. I have several
I have always pushed varmint and coyote hunters to seriously consider the 22 BR/BRA/DASHER
Client submitted photos. 22 BR NO TURN NECK
Completely agree. My 22 BR has been very accurate with a wide variety of heavy bullets and produces stunning velocity far beyond my expectations when I initially chose it. So much so that I've thought about going to something smaller, like a 22PPC, since I really just wanted to get to 2900-2950fps with a 90gn bullet with a strong consistent case.People really need to rediscover these 6br based cartridges in 22 and 20 caliber. Most specifically the 22.
Some of these BCs of these 22 bullets are shockingly good. And the cost of shooting is so much cheaper than their 6mm counterparts.
For example the 88 eld-m. This bullet will REALLY shoot. But it does require a freebore that is nearly specifically for that bullet. The 22 br/22bra, even with its long neck would need about 170 freebore.
Just to throw another option in, my reamer has 1.5 degree and shoots very very well. I have no reason why that value was chosen, it was just the suggested angle to go with by PT&G.One other question.
Many of my 22 reamers are 2 degree throat angle. My 6mm reamers are almost all 1 degree.
Any comment on that?
If I may, what bullets were you planning to run in the BRA with .060 FB?Probably going with 60 fb. This will work for pretty much anything desides the really heavy stuff and not be in the donut.
I will throat if I need longer than that say for the 88 eld-m.

I ran some numbers and it appears that the 88 ELD-M's need right at .100 FB, if I'm not mistaken? For future reference as I don't have any on hand, where do the 90 and 95's fall in with the long bearing surface on the 88's and what is the preferred FB for these? That would work fine for everything up to 80 grain. From 40 to 80.
