Most accurate .223 bullet~?

Have a cooper bolt gun and Rock River AR-15 varmint and they both love the 55gr Berger Varmint/Target. My 22-250 custom loves the 52 Berger varmint/target. But have had rifles that shoot Hornady 50vmax, 75 gr 6mm vmax and many different calibers of Noslers shoot good in some rifles. I would say give the bergers a try at least.

I believe there are only a couple .223 bullets out there, Sieria and Hornady make .223 bullets for early Hornets.

Now if you're talking .224 bullets for the 223 Rem. There are a plethora of them and your rifle will tell which is the most accurate.

Now you have to ask yourself most accurate for what?

The very most accurate bullet in one of my 223 Rems was the 50gr Herters's SPs. I won a club BR Match with them in the 1970's. I never found a more accurate bullet in that rifle.

I won an Egg Shoot with 52gr Speer Varmint bullets in a 222 Rem and kill coyotes regularly in a variety of rifles, it is the most accurate pelt saving bullet in all of them. It would shoot dime sized groups off of shooting sticks at 150 yards out of my Egg Shoot gun.

I'm shooting a Ruger 77 with a 1;12 twist barrel with minimum modifications, and I want to gather a consensus of experiences about bullets. I'm looking for weights under 55gr. I'd like to know what you have found to be the most accurate bullet you've and are using~!
Accurate for what? At 100 yards on a range in my 1 in 12 Howa with a 22" barrel was a 53 grain I believe. Useless in the field, velocity was low, trajectory so high and time in flight made varminting impossible, 3 1/2"+ at 300 in light gusting winds. Pretty much a one ragged hole shooter at 100 in very low wind if memory serves.

In the field a 40 grain VMAX at 3,900 FPS was the ticket, not as sharp at 100, (who cares) but 1 1/16" at 300 yards in low constant wind and in PA normal gusts well under 2" at 300 yards. Flat shooting and low time of flight makes 15 second range, aquire and fire an easier task.
