Kevin is a very good smith, and, he does a lot of small bore stuff so I'm sure you'll be very pleased with whatever he builds you.

Kevin did a project for me on one of my 17 Hornets a few years ago. It was an experiment I wanted to try by setting back a brand new unfired CZ 527 17HH and having it rechambered with a tighter spec reamer and less FB than factory. Kevin does very good work and got it back to me in a very timely manner.

Guys thanks for all the info and help. I have decided to have Kevin Weaver put this project together for me. I have a Muller 20 cal 11 twist SS Rem Varmint 27" cut rifled 4 groove barrel on the way to Kevin so I will avoid the long wait for a reamer and barrel.

Why are you guys suggesting zero freebore?

Plenty of neck length in the 20-222 to run zero freebore and still not have the base of bullet take up powder space. Will also allow you to comfortably chase with seating depth as you shoot a high volume of rounds.

I have never found any need to have freebore in any of my 20 cals, the only one is my 20BRA it has .050 for the 55's and its plenty

good choice on 11 tw, will handle 39-45 gr no problem. mine is a pac nor bbl chambered by them 26 in 1/2 moa @ 400 w/40 gr nos. have fun .
