Alliant 15.5 TS ?

Asking the guys who have first-hand experience with this powder, is it more suitable in the Dasher or the 6 BRA. I have the powder plus a Dasher and a BRA and I'm curious as to which won it works better in.

The person who did the original testing in the Dasher saw significant velocity improvements over other powders as well as excellent accuracy. I've seen him shoot that gun with that powder and it is a stunning shooter. I tested in the BRA and saw nearly identical performance to Varget (which I use in the BRA). Seems on the surface that more case capacity lends itself to increased results. But then we were shooting in different temps at different altitudes in different conditions. I'll use it in the BRA for sure. He does use it in the Dasher.

My testing was based on the dasher but I've seen it shoot in the BRA so I would say its a no brainer in both the Dasher and BRA.

6mm BRA RE 15.5

Anyone trying 15.5 in the BRA? My findings so far: 7.83 twist; Lapua Brass; CCI 400; 105vld; 31grs RE 15.5 equaled 2869-2878 8 twist; Lapua Brass; CCI 400; 105vld; 31.5grs Re 15.5 equaled 2901-2907 I would like to try these loads with a CCI 450 and see if there is any change.

TS 15.5 in the Dasher or 6 Bra?

Was wondering if anyone has tried this powder in a Dasher and/or a 6Bra with 103 to 105 Gr. bullets? I won an 8Lb. jug last year at the World Open and wanted to hear some reports so I could figure out where to start and how far to go.

Brownells had it in stock for about a week, not that long ago. At the same time, PV also had a bunch.

Honestly, it’s been available most of the time the last month. Before that, it was most definitely unobtanium. Powder Valley is the place!

Alliant is pretty much priced out of my price range now, but the TS 15.5 is appealing.

(Oh, and I know where some H4198 is hiding if you’re in dire need.)
