Colorado ban on high capacity mag-USPSA Pull Comp out of Colorado

I live a few miles from the Cameo Shooting Sports Complex. Lots of work has gone into developing a really great venue for many disciplines including PRS, 3-Gun, and all the pistol sports.

Just sharing information

Some text from the article: "A USPSA press release stated the organization will not utilize the Cameo shooting complex until an exemption to the high capacity magazine law is made for shooting competitions.

A proposal to add such an exemption did not make it through the state legislature this year.

The next USPSA event planned for the Cameo complex was the Nationals event in October.

Unless there is something in the law that says a person from another state can’t bring a magazine over 15 round into the state and take it home with them, something is wrong.
I live in Colorado, it is illegal for me to buy or sell mags over 15 rounds, but ownership is not illegal.

Unfortunately, the communists have a very firm grip on Colorado and like a lot of states, the politics and policies are dictated by a couple of big cities.
You are correct, the noisy uninformed leading the quite majority.
With all the beautiful people with extremely deep pockets in Aspen, Telluride, and Vail, it is not likely to change anytime soon.

Wife and I have been vacationing in Colorado annually for the last 25 years.

Based on repeated recent experiences with residents there over the last 3-4 years, we will not be going back.

A lot has changed there. Sad really.

Yep, it is not what it used to be for sure.
I have some newer neighbors that has a huge (20 feet long) bright yellow banner on the side of their house for several months prior to the last election that said F_ _ _ Trump! (this is out in farm country). I just guess they do not care about the children in the area seeing that kind of filth?
Move in and change it to be like the place you left, I think that is the strategy???

I'm sure that such people rationalize it as kosher so long as their cause is "just."

Pretty much explains all of it, such changes.

I grew up in another era, with "Great Depression" sensibilities instilled, basically. Citizenship in the U.S. wasn't ever meant to be orderly by force, but it was absolutely designed and meant to be free, however messy it might otherwise get.

Was raised with a caveat against being incapable of "seeing the forest for the trees." Such people simply don't think beyond their immediate gratification (of having steamrolled someone, or gotten theirs, or getting their way, or ramming through some legislation that creates a forcible compliance with criminal penalties for disregard). Everyone's left with the damage trail they create. As though none of our rights or liberties matter a damn. One would think there's a limited market for overt and deliberate destruction of the rights of one's own children. But, sad to say, with tens of millions of such people that doesn't seem to be the case.

Just remember this when the shooting war starts............otherwise it will be "rinse and repeat" all over again. Then our next generation will be dealing with it.....
