6mmBR Cartridge Boxes

The Frankford Arsenal #512 boxes are great for 6BR's using light to medium weight bullets.
But the lid won't shut on the long 105's and such.

How much bullet do you have left in the neck? I use the 512s for 6 Dasher and 6.5x47 Lapua (with 140s) with no problem.

Not sure. I had some 105 Bergers loaded that did not fit. But i mostly shoot the 80 grain bullets, which fit fine.
So I use a .243/.308 box for the 105's.

The Peterson boxes work fine. They seem to be clones of the MTM 50 rd boxes, but made of a clear, slightly harder, more brittle, plastic. I had one arrive with a shattered corner, and always feel the others are on the verge of joining it. Has yet to happen though.

I have to box my peterson came in. It’s a nice little hard plastic thing like they send all their stuff in, just sized down for BR. If anyone wants it, I’ll ship it you them for actual shipping. They can pay me after I send it, I don’t care.

I bought a couple of Frankfort Arsenal #512 boxes and thought they were perfect, at first. Then I noticed that loaded rounds that were .018" off the rifling would fit but a couple of bullets would touch the closed lid. I also noticed that a few cells were tight enough to just hold an empty case when the box was inverted. When I lengthened the OAL a bit, I could not close the lids.

I just bought a couple of the MTM's RS-S-50 boxes. They are a little taller, thus, allowing for cartridges to have a longer OAL. The individual cells are slightly larger, and all the cartridges fit with just enough room to easily get in & out.

IMO the MTMs are a much better choice for the 6mmBR.

I'm exceedingly happy with these MTM Case-Gard RSS-50 Rifle ammo boxes. They are rated for 6BR and can handle up to 2.5" COAL. LOVE the pin hinge, too.
