tar mate i have the carolina secret....just got to get the oval seated right...Look up secret South Carolina load. Not much of a secret, many 6.5 shooters have used H4831 long before the Creedmoor came out. But they did stumble on a good powder choice. N160 or N165 and Hybrid 100V would be excellent choices also.
good on ya .....thanks for your input mate ......for the advise.I would stick with printed data for a beginner.
Get the hang of handloading. Stay within printed data parameters until your handloading knowledge grows beyond the basics.
34 to 36 gr of ar2208 sounds good to me.
lol..hahahaha..... tar ....is a short slang for ... thank you ..... in australian.fxdwg you must explain to this illiterate hill billy what a tar mate is and, what seating the oval means. Do you do the oval seating next to the billabong? The slower powders i mentioned may work better in a longer barrel, but i don't know how long a hawkeye is.
thanks mate i went to link and printed it all out ....tar hoopsView attachment 1339155
I’m not a creedmoor guy, but looked this up just to what our good friends at Sierra had to say on the subject.
Welcome to the forum.

good on ya mate tar.....I used to keep some ADI literature laying around to make sure I didn't confuse the names after Hodgdon changes them. Can't lay my hands on it at the moment, but noticed that ADI has a page with something similar. Just FYI for folks who find themselves needing some translations.
http://www.adiworldclass.com.au/powder-equivalents/
ADI 2208 - Varget
ADI 2209 - H4350
ADI 2213SC - H4831
ADI 2217 - H1000
The Hodgdon Reloading web site lists loads based on caliber and bullets. It isn't always an issue if they don't list something, but in some examples it might be a clue that your combination might need more investigation to see if it may be a mismatch.
A few loads pop up for Varget and H4350 with a 140 grain bullet, but not your specific one. Here is what does show. Good Luck!
