Anyone a Mauser expert?

Jackie, I have a friend on another forum that is very heavy into and knowledgeable about Mausers. Beside Mausers he also restores vintage Military Jeeps and other Military vehicles. Tom would love to visit with you and direct you in the right direction.
Going to speak out of turn here : I've a close Friend who is gravely ill and his prognosis ISN'T good !.
Not certain What he will or has planned too do with all his firearms and memorabilia ?.
In a few weeks we're gonna make the trip to see him . He's been collecting 95% WWl WWll weapons and has in excess of #3K ,that I Know of . Did I mention He's of German ancestry ,as a matter of fact his folks fled Germany in 1938 . I'd venture a guess he has perhaps #300-400 Mauser's and perhaps 1/2 that may Arisaka's alone and Lord only knows how much French Italian on and on . He has a couple of My 03's and Garands ,in addition to his own . FYI : He started collecting in 1959 and I emphasize COLLECTING .
When I know something definitively and his intensions , I'll post it !. It would take Me a month or two , just too move everything . I personally hope he's made arrangements and it's museum bound but his being a shooter and smith I seriously doubt it !!.

No Photos ,unless I have them in possession . He has NO phone , NO Computer , NO address ,NO neighbors
a handful of his friends Knows where he resides and I'll NOT violate #60 years of Friendship or Trust in doing so .
IF they aren't committed to a destination and somehow LEO or ? intercepts it will make National news I assure everyone !.
