Will the Borden Super Short 6 action fit into a stock that is already inletted for a Rem 700 BDL bottom metal ?

The Borden Super Single 6 has the same footprint as the Remington 700 short action however, the Borden Super Short 6 has a straight bolt handle compared to the Rem 700 swept back bolt handle and the Super Short 6 is setup for a detachable box magazine. Could you get the BDL setup to work? With enough tinkering, I believe you could.
I own Super Single 6 action chambered in 6mm Dasher for hunting and just love the rifle.

Thank You for the reply. I guess my question should be, will a detachable magazine "bottom metal" fit into a BDL inletted stock ?

Thank You RussellJ. I emailed Jim Borden for his opinion on what is my best option. I didn't purchase the McMillan Hunter Edge stock as of yet, and it might not be the right choice for the SS6 action with a 6BR chambering. I'm wanting to build an ultra-lightweight coyote/whitetail hunting rifle chambered in 6BR & just trying to figure out the right parts to buy.

Kwik klip also do a HS precision style bottom metal that is a drop in fit for a BDL inlet.

My understanding is the intent of the SS6 is to run Borden proprietary mags that are optimised for that action and the 6br. Not using those mags kind of defeats the purpose of using that action

My 6BR rifle, TL3 action, 22" Proof barrel with a titanium muzzle brake, Manners "T" stock & Leupold FX-3 6x scope. 8lbs with sling & magazine. Shooting 70grn BT bullets, I can see every bullet impact. It's a Super Fun Hunting rifle.

Russell,

Some very nice hunting rifles you have there. Just about the perfect weight for hunting as well. Thanks for sharing. Will try to dig up some pics of my rifles.

Thanks, Paul

Russell, is that just a standard 5rd. AICS mag you‘re using? Any spacers in it? I know the dedicated magazines Jim offers keep the rounds to the rear given the longer tenon / shorter magwell opening.
It is a 5-Round magazine from Borden for the SS6, same as the 10-round magazines that came with the rifle however 5-round. It's an Accurate -Mag
