Berger drought

When I was still in the deep dark throws of work and travels, I dreamed of the days that I would retire. I was thinking that would be the answer for more time and doing things like casting and swaging bullets, etc...

Well, life doesn't always work the way we hope and even though one would assume you are master of your destiny at retirement... that is not my luck.

Folks show up and suck up your time, or you have to take care of your parents, etc.. Some day I'll dust off the heavy presses and get back to making bullets, but not for now... Hopefully before I am too old to do it.
Well I thought I was semi retired and I took a full time job with the promise I could do my gun stocks.....
Shit thier workin me like a rented mule!!. I'm still squeezing in my stocks but its taken a lil longer to get to the end.
Lube them presses and make a lil time for yourself, lifes to short.

They are out there. And I have seen a few notifications for such. I have since switched to shooting 153.5 in my 6.5.

The same goes for 109s. Hard to come by. But once you get a notification. You buy them all.

Retirement activities do consume more time than most anticipate, and I hope you soon find time to “roll your own”! In the interim, you may want to investigate the cost of custom/hand made bullets. Some can be had for a relatively modest cost increase compared to Berger’s…

Tested the 142 Sierra. Pretty awesome. I was pleasantly surprised. Picked up a couple of barrels worth. As of yesterday, Berger still doesn't have a production date for 6.5.

There are a lot of complaints lately I think they bit of a bit too much since they started loading ammo.
They must be very very busy,

Lapua owns Berger. Lapua is a company in Finland. Finland is preparing for war with Russia, as Finland and Switzerland are preparing for a simultaneous applications to NATO.

Tie a knot and hang on!
Lapua does not own Berger. Both Lapua and Berger are owned by the Nammo Group, which is owned 50/50 by the Norwegian government and a Finnish Defense company. Both Berger and Lapua are part of their commercial ammunition brands.

I received a reply from Berger about 7mm Bullets this week.
Sorry Aug. or Sept.
Get on as many wish lists of Dealers.

We were talking about what Nammo did to Berger at a match this weekend. As one person said, they abandoned the people who made them what they are, the precision shooters. Guess they think the Berger name on the ammo will carry over to factory made ammo but what they don't realize is that none of the people who made them what they are buy factory ammo. Berger existed because they did not buy factory ammo. Maybe the masses will buy it though. They do with Federal and the other brands. Berger is now just an also ran.

As a side note, Nammo is not just supplying the Berger factory brand with bullets. I picked up a box of Federal (one box only) to test in a new hunting rifle along with a box of 147 Hornady. The Federal advertised "Berger 140 grain Hybrids". So it seems that Berger is supplying everyone but the population who made them what they are. By the way, the federal's did not shoot well at all. The hornady's did shoot well. I picked up 200 of the 147's and will start load development with them.
