Berger drought

It's one of the world's mysteries. If you contact Berger they tell you they produce 24h a day as much bullets as they can. If you contact Nammo and ask if they plan to expand Berger's capacities, they tell you Lapua Scenar is a great bullet. The math on this does not check out.
Am I the only one who is thinking maybe they are using the burger factory to make scenars and sending them off around the world .

Most of us have had to wait for things this last few years, and no end in sight.

I got excited when Berger posted a photo of 6mm 105 Hybrids on their social media page on FB. It showed cartloads being ready for packaging and shipping weeks ago. I got busy watching the usual outlets, but they never showed up and I have no idea where they must have shipped them.
I keep watching and waiting like the rest of us, but eventually it changes how you schedule your matches in order to conserve. Votes have consequences.... Good Luck to us all.
I got 1k of the 105 Hybrids from Bruno’s last month. They went very very fast.

I also have two 6.5 Creedmoor's that really like the 144 Hybrids. I am out and can't find any, or 140 Hybrids as well. I can compete in local matches with Nosler, Hornady or Barnes's but really hate to go to a big match with these. My third choice the Sierra 142's are also imposable to find. Weight sorting the others will make a difference in your score I have found. The 153's in a 1:8 twist Creed are very iffy at 1K.

Boltman, Blue Collar has 142 Sierra. Next best to Berger

I just picked up 500 Hornady 140's and 200 of their 147's. If Bergers ever show up again I'll grab a few and do load development to insure that they are being produced to the same standards they once were. I don't expect them to show up.

338 300gr OTM are hard to find as well. 250 is everywhere, but 300 grain is MIA. I've been trying to find some for a year.

Moved to hornady 300gr A-tips. Cheaper, better metplat, consistent so far, and available.

Berger is walking a fine line. Pretty soon I'll move to either sierra, hornady, or custom solids from cutting edge, warner tool, bison, or hammers. Not that much more per round for solids after their price increases, and you aren't waiting 12 months for them.

I toured the Berger manufacturing facility before they were acquired by namo group. They run one set of dies for a specific bullet and keep the QC very tight that way. They could make bullets faster but customers look to Berger for their high levels of QC and the company is not willing to compromise on that.

Unfortunately, this means that they are not making every bullet in their lineup every day of the week. Instead, they may have a production run for bullet X about once every 3-6 months.

I use their products because I think they are the best production bullets available.

Same thing happened during the Obummer rush.
Only this one is even worse.
Berger will eventually catch up.
Thankfully this was easily predicted and I stocked up.

All I`ve seen out of Berger in the last yr, is lots of 6mm and lots of 30cal on the shelves, nada for 6.5 or 7mm. But, I do see 6.5 and 7mm in loaded factory rounds, which I`m not buying.

Thought I was prepared. I've got a metric S#*t ton of 105 hybrids, about the same 140 hybrids. I have enough 215s to last probably the rest of the season (Niteforce ELR) and a couple local ELR matches. 140VLDs are getting low, 300 OTMs nervous about too. I've got a lifetimes supply of powder and primers to feed everything I own.. Sad but true, buying components first, powder, primers, and bullets to build a gun around.

Shit for the price of Berger bullets you really should be shootin hand pulled.
When I was still in the deep dark throws of work and travels, I dreamed of the days that I would retire. I was thinking that would be the answer for more time and doing things like casting and swaging bullets, etc...

Well, life doesn't always work the way we hope and even though one would assume you are master of your destiny at retirement... that is not my luck.

Folks show up and suck up your time, or you have to take care of your parents, etc.. Some day I'll dust off the heavy presses and get back to making bullets, but not for now... Hopefully before I am too old to do it.
