Wet tumbling shell holders

I have some pretty scruffy shell holders I'm thinking of wet tumbling with SS pins but don't want to take the letters and numbers off. Is that a concern? Thanks, James

Engraved in the holder or printed on it? It may remove printed text. Depends on the run time and maybe drum RPM. I use sharpie on my cases to mark mine for quick pick up after a string of fire. it removes that but can see an ever so slight ring left if I do a short run time. Good luck.
Try Dry media first ....?

Steel shell holders? Tumbling probably won't touch stamped or engraved markings. Might remove light laser etched marks, but I doubt it. I would worry about heat transferred marks (hot stamped.)

I wish folks would really read post. Op is talking about shell holders and first couple responses are about sharpie writing on cases???

Frank
Hey frank he just said since it doesnt take the headstamp off of his brass or even sharpie off the rims he would think it wouldnt mess up the marks on the steel shellholders.
