Best dasher brass

Yea it’s been asked A bunch. I used lapua brown and blue box with no problems On several barrels. Switched my last gun to Norma dasher brass and never thought I could get my gun up to the upper velocitys that the dasher really shoots good at. so now I’m a little hesitant to keep trying other brass. The Peterson seems like the capacity looks a little short and I dont Have a lot of info on the alpha. I have researched this subject. a fair amount.
Guess the big question is what is the best dasher brass. will the alpha or Peterson hang with fireformed Lapua for 10-20 firings. Can u get it up to 3000+ FPS.

Alpha is tough and will hang at 3K until your tired of looking at it.
I have zero experience with Peterson, I do know the capacity is less than either Alpha or Lapua. I have no reason to believe it isn’t good brass though.

The Peterson brass looks like it will be fine in my 6BRX. So far I have no complaints with it although the load must be reduced due to the weight and of course thickness of it. My Peterson 6mmBR brass weighs 10 grains more than my Lapua 6mmBR brass. However, according to my builder (WSMNUT) I am able to match Lapua brass velocities (3000 fps) so far but with a few tenths of a grain less Varget. I have tried Alpha brass in one of my 260AIs but only been able to start blowing it out so far.

alpha 6bra ocd brass shoots right there with my formed lapua though im only 5 firings in
29.6 of h 4895 for alpha 30.1 h 4895 for lapua both shoot to same poa at nearly identical velocity of 2920 fps

I am having the same results, with the same powder using OCD brass. Did not have the same success with the pre ocd brass, or Peterson

I am also shooting the Alpha OCD brass and it is proving to be tough and is shooting great. I'll stick with over fire-forming the Lapua. Same results for me with less work.

This is what I needed. Seems like now that the alpha has been out for a while , and tested. That it is pretty good brass without fire forming.

Maybe lapua is still king , I don’t know. But sounds like I may have to start looking for some alpha.
