Chambering 256 MAXIMUM (25-357 max)

I am kicking around the idea of rebarreling a Remington rolling block I have chambered in 357 mag to 256 MAXIMUM. Can I run a regular 256 mag reamer deeper to make the MAX? I want to keep the 357 mag case head dimension to prevent any modification to the extractor on the rifle if possible.
Anyone done a 256 MAX?
Thanks,
Bryant

I love the 357 max but I think the pressures you’re likely to encounter may exceed the limits of the rolling block , even the 7 mm receiver. The problem Ive run across when playing with the Rolling block has always been the trigger , unless I can find a double set trigger to install . The bolt thrust probably will not be as much as Im assuming, dont know if its worth the extra . Id stick with the 256 mag .

A 6 mm /256 mag with a fast twist barrel would be a fun wildcat .

DST for a RB will be fairly rare and probably expensive. Getting an original trigger to 2# isn't too difficult.
