Vortex GE Turret Stuck

I have a Vortex GE scope and cannot remove the elevation turret to zero it. I’ve removed all 3 screws and it will not budge. I’ve done this before and it’s never been an issue. The windage turret came right off. It will move up and down a little but that’s it. Would appreciate any ideas on this.

Finally got it off! Issue was the 3 set screws holding the turret cap on had created tiny burrs and wouldn’t let the cap come off. I used a metal fingernail file to remove the burrs and now easy on/easy off. Guess I need to just barely tighten these screws!

You are correct in all brands. Those tiny screws are tiny for a reason, gorilla torque not needed. Tweety Bird biceps are fine.

Have gone through this same issue with several of my shooting friends when they got GE's . I have two , and was cautioned about this from Vortex when I called asking about any maintenance issues . You had a better answer than I did , Jeff . Tweety-bird bi-ceps ? Good one .
