Thinking about expanding into Tikka, Howa, and Kelbly (Atlas?) barrel nut style prefits.

Which one of these rilfe platforms are the ones that every likes?

The best way on an Atlas is to get the Panda spacer Kelbly's sells. That way, any Panda/Kodiak barrel will screw right on...instant 'pre fit'.

Something to keep in mind. ;) - Al

Hold up! Would that not cause unsupported brass/ likely case rupture? My Pandas are coned bolt, my Atlas is not. What am I missing?

I don't own a Tikka centerfire but would consider dropping one of my Savage's to have one with one of your prefits.

You can get the Atlas or Panda with either a flat or a coned bolt.

The coned bolt Atlas has a .692 headspace. With the .250 recoil lug and the Kelbly .173 spacer you get to the Panda's 1.115 headspace number.

The Atlas flat bolt is .557 and the Panda flat bolts are .980.

You can see the spacer on my Atlas. Barrels are headspaced for the Panda 1.115 number. They swap back and forth on my Panda perfectly. ;)

Good shootin' -Al

Howa and tikka would both be popular. I have a howa barrel I'd donate to the cause of you need it.

My question is this.
I know the Tikka T3 is a 1.0625-16 with a flat face. Are there other popular Tikkas that are different?

I know the thread pitch of Howa (they are metric), but are all Howas the same?
