Also once the data is compiled and organized I will be posting all of the information from the equipment list on this thread.

I wonder if this information is reported accurately. Not saying anyone would misrepresent the actual facts, but..........
I am sure this is not a really accurate representation of the shooters that attended the event, however I am pretty sure it is an accurate representation of the shooters that responded to the inquiry asking for each shooters data!

your equipment list needs to have the calibre listed also Roger
There is still a lot of information that I need to compile. It is going to take days/weeks to put everything together. This is just barely scratching the surface of the information that was collected. Just hard to work a full+ time job, help run two of the largest shooting matches of their respective sport in less than a month time frame, prepare for those matches, help run two shooting clubs, and put this information together overnight. Patience Grasshopper :P

Matt,

Thanks for all you do for the shooting sports and for the shooters. And please pass my thanks along to the rest of the Desert Sharpshooters for yet another outstanding match!

Thanks,

John

It is not necessary to "misrepresent" anything. Look at the original Table (post #2). Anyone that doesn't wish to provide excessive details about their equipment can simply list the manufacturer's name without any other details. For example, responding solely with "CCI" in the primer query column doesn't differentiate between BR4/450/400 SRPs. For those shooters that wish to keep their specific equipment/components incognito, it's very easy to respond to such inquiries in a way that leaves out more specific details.

When someone finds a certain formula that works very well, it's just human nature that some other shooters might like to know what they're using. It's also human nature that some shooters might wish to keep their successful formula secret. It's not a good thing or bad thing, that's just the kind of creatures we human beings are. No one is ever going to be able to merely look at an equipment list and instantly be able to generate a National Championship-winning rifle setup or load. Likewise, the folks that routinely place at the top of leaderboard in big matches do so largely because they work stupidly hard and they're GOOD. So, they may not feel like spoon-feeding others specific information that may have taken them months or even years to learn on their own. The best advice is to take the information in equipment lists after it has filtered through those two human characteristics at face value; nothing more, nothing less. It is an overview for the various brands/types of equipment that were used in a given match, not a highly detailed roadmap to winning matches. Although the equipment used is certainly part of the story, it can never replace the hard work and innate talent, both of which come from within.

Matt Schwarzkopf is doing a great service for everyone interested and is putting in a LOT of hard work to compile these lists. I highly commended him for his efforts on this project. What is not needed here is skepticism or antagonistic remarks about the output.

Nedd you could not have said it better.
Its nice to know whats winning...but if were competing, were already using all the same stuff basically anyway.
just my thoughts.
