Stickers on my rifle?

WTF?
I just took possession of a brand new Tikka 22-250, 8 twist. It’s got bumper stickers on it! I know I’m getting old but stickers on a rifle??? I guess I’ve seen them on rifles in shops and haven’t paid attention, is this the new normal for new guns? Can I remove these without messing up the stock? Just leave it be and loose sleep over it?

Yea, I’m hoping that they come right off.
Only thing worse, I thought, would be to start messing with it and make it look worse and all boogered up. LOL
It being a synthetic stock even if some residue stays on the stock some goof off non abrasive cleaner will clean it right off or warm soapy water.

I have seen guns on store shelves that sat a long, long time and when the stickers were finally removed they stocks had faded and the spot where the stickers were was a different shade than the rest of the stocks.

I understand why the put them on there. Think about making the rifle stand out amongst all the others sitting on the store shelves. You can easily pick out that Tikka sticker on the gun from the other side the counter and know its there. Companies got to advertise their product to sell their product. Some stores pull the stickers off before they put on the shelf... others leave it.

Think of it this way, in stores like sportsman's warehouse... got 100s of rifles in. You go looking for a tikka.... from the other side the gun counter most can tell the tikkas from the other rifles and you got to wait for help and hope they know the inventory... with the sticker there you can see "hey those are tikkas" and know they have some. Few stores allow you to fondle new inventory without assistance so you cant get close enough to see them.

Also think of the new gun buyers today not being as versed in identifying stuff like most gun enthusiast... so the stickers help with brand recognition.

Advertising is a high dollar art and those stickers help.

Makes sense; I guess from a few feet away just looking at the bottom one could mistake a Tikka for a Ruger American or Savage axis

It seems dumb to me.
Kind of like if when I drove my F250 off the dealer lot and they thought that I needed a bumper sticker stuck on the bumper advertising what I just bought….
Maybe I just need some more coffee! LOL

Last new vehicle I bought the dealership put their advertising emblems on my vehicle without asking. Told my salesman he better remove those emblems from my vehicle or I would see sales manager to demand my money back. Saleman was dumbfounded, I was dead serious.

I just received a Savage in 17 HMR that had more stickers than a hippy's VW van.
