Polished up my new Cliff Arnold rest

Great job!! Many don't know how hard it is to actually make something like that.

Now that you have done it. What would you charge to do another?

Hmmmmmm I am almost ready to pull the trigger on a PQP- Precision Joystick Rest until this thread and the work of art that ELR Researcher posted. WoW!!!

I shoot with Cliff often and he does great work! He also built my rest I absolutely love. I've used the PQP -Joystick and I found it harder to make fine adjustments with and I personally didn't like it. Just my 2cents.

Well I’ll be sending Cliff a text today to change my anodizing choice. I opted for just the “accent anodizing” in green but after seeing this I want the “complete anodizing” just like yours.

Really? The ones with my rest in 2017 were made by a guy in Michigan that Cliff used for adding that accessory to his rests. He has always made the holders. Perhaps since he retired from his day job he has recently started to make them himself.

That is a nice looking rest. I got mine with basic finish, didn’t want anodized, but WOW.

No he operates the old way via phone. Super, super nice guy. From his text to me last week. His rests start at $950 and go up from there.

Received my new Cliff Arnold rest recently and polished it up – see pics. Cliff’s workmanship and fit-up are outstanding! Price for base rest and roller bearing top are very comparable to new-build alternatives. I optioned for a set of SS Super Feet and Cliff’s top-plate-mounted holder, custom carry handle, a spare windage wear block, and thrust bearing (in the post) – plus N/C for custom fine threads and fine sanding (to help with my polishing). Have yet to have it out to the range (or even put my rifle in it – that gear is back at Eley’s test lab) – will do that before the end of the month.

I still can't get over how awesome that looks! Great job...if I had to do it again I would highly consider polishing it up like that. Well done!

I can imagine how much work it took to polish that rest. I did a Glock slide just because someone said it couldn’t be done and just as a project. It was an old police trade in with a lot of holster wear. It took about Five hours of steady rubbin. It has since been Cerakoted.

UPDATE:
Cliff called me last week to indicate all the parts are done and he was about to start anodizing. Payment was sent that day and cleared yesterday. He followed up with a text later this afternoon and indicated it should be set to arrive very soon. OH BOY!!

Got my Arnold rest all ordered up today. Mr. Cliff Arnold is an absolute gentleman and a wonderful guy.

I see you haven't rec'd your rest as of now. I guess I was lucky in my timing since I got mine in a little over a week. It is worth the wait though.
