Lapua bullets for 30 BR?

If you didn't have access to BIB, Barts etc. Would you consider any of Lapua bullets for 30 BR? Which one could work in 1:17 twist barrel?

That’s unfortunate you can’t get the Bergers on that side of the pond. I don’t know of anybody shooting a Lapua bullet in a 30BR. Can you not get the custom bullet makers to ship either, or is it just an out of stock issue? I have been waiting on bullets for about 6 months. Everybody has been out of stock on jackets.

I've not had a 30br personally but i know of a few guys that have them that use the speer 125s and produce great groups.... are they going to be as consistant or match winning... probably not but would be good enough for informal matches and fun.

To address the question poised though... several reviews on the 123FMJ lapua 30 cal bullet indicate good success in the 30br. I would think it should work ok. That and the 100gr cutting edge seem to been popular for the 30BR based on reviews i read online real quick looking at the lighter options from lapua.

Hornady, Sierra and Speer work just as well and are less money. You should be able to purchase one or more of those brands across the pond.

Mod remove and ban Ricardo, please.

It's a pure bad luck being located in Europe and striving to buy Bergers, Barts or BIBs. There is no single box of .264 Bergers in continental Europe. Can you imagine? Even Armeria Regina does not have one.

Armeria Regina have Bergers for sale in Italy. Their facebook page is in English-ish.
And I do not speak Italian.

I have a powder test loaded with these 125 TNTs. Gonna see exactly what kind of accuracy I can wring out of them soon.

Well - I suggest you get on the Google. The first hit I got was Brownell's French website. or email the list of Berger importers above. I'm a bit far away to drop some over...
I am afraid you have little knowledge on what is and what is not available in Europe. You are even wrong with Brownell's France you referred to. I know personally most Bergers' importers to Europe and they cannot give an estimate on delivery timelines.

I think that we are lost in translation. "not available in Europe" to me suggested that there is no regular distribution, as in "some Hodgdon powders unavailable in the UK" not the shortage of supply that everyone outside the US is suffering. Currently in NZ - No Berger, Lapua, Sierra or Hornady on the shelf. Little ADI/Hodgdon. Best of luck.

I went to Lapua's website and they list two 30 caliber 123 grain bullets, I didn't have time to look at the specs but i would try them out before dealing with all the hassle of importing American bullets.

Sorry it slipped my mind that you had stated you hadn't built a rifle yet. I have no idea if the Lapua 123s will shoot good in a 30 br. But hey are about the right weight to be effective. Do you know any one that has a 30 br that could test them for you?
