QuickLOAD v3.9

I have version 3.9 of QuickLOAD / DLL 1.00 which also contains the notation 'Copyright 1987-2013'.
Is there a newer version, and/or is it possible to update (my) original? If so, from where?
Thanks for any advice

No changes to a version beyond 3.9. . . only upgrades for data:

I just installed the sept 21 update. lots of new calibers and bullets added. along with some changes to powders since April 2020.

Thanks folks.
Regarding the data update, does that replace the whole data set or only a specific time period?
Although my version is v3.9, I have no idea as to how old the data set is, and there doesn't seem to be any way to identify.
Anyway, it seems that I might need an update. Best source is where/who?
Thanks.

it updates your files to the Latest Data. So, All previous data will still be there. does not matter how old the data file is. It also does not touch any personal data you saved.

The only place to get the update CD in the USA is from Neconos.com, which was posted above. (must be installed from a cdrom).

I've spent more on updates than I did for the original program. Just installed this most recent one and I think that makes my seventh update disk. It is handy to use though so no complaints here.

Since US powders arent REACH compliant and banned in europe, how will quickload do powder model updates? Im assuming the powder models are done in europe.

In the example of GRT, when lab data was given they used it as a starting point and then it has to be adjusted on the basis of lots of user input to be useful.

When lab data wasn’t volunteered by a powder manufacturer, they worked it backward from user input data.

So either way, they (GRT) can update with or without the lab thermodynamic values but in the end the real value comes from the modifications and adjustments that are based on lots of calibers and bullet samples.

Without a doubt, it is a labor of love that turns standardized lab tests into useful internal ballistics models. The recent sad news is that Gordon, the principal at GRT, just passed away. He will be missed in many ways.

It is a complete guess on my part, that the QL folks will do the same, work from provided data if they get it, or back into it from scratch when necessary. Either way, going from raw thermodynamic tests to useful internal ballistics models takes work.

I contacted QL and was told that they get their powder data from manufacturers. Gordon at GRT told me that not all powder makers give the information freely. He said most US powder makers wont give it up but QL says otherwise. Gordon will be missed. I enjoyed working with him and others on the powder development team. I hope they can continue the GRT program.

$15.95 for the update and $16.95 to ship a freaking CD, are you serious!:mad::mad: Please, tell me I'm missing something.
I wasn't impressed with 15.95 update and 31.90 usd shipping Last year (June 2020) to Canada. More so on the shipping portion of course. I think you got a deal with 16.95 shipping lol.

their shipping has always been outrageous. ive called them and asked with an order and they have made it more palatable.
